Course Summary

This one day training course is designed for workshop professionals looking to develop the knowledge, confidence, and safe working practices required to service and support Tesla vehicles.
Automotive Technical Training for Servicing Tesla Vehicles delivers a structured introduction to Tesla-specific systems, controls, and service procedures. Delegates will gain essential awareness of workshop safety requirements, correct vehicle access, and preparation protocols, including jacking, lifting, and safe starting and driving procedures. The course builds a strong foundation by familiarising technicians with vehicle architecture, component locations, and the use of Tesla’s digital car manual.
Through a blend of theory-led instruction and practical discussion, participants will explore Tesla driving features and system settings such as driving modes, regenerative braking, Autopilot configuration, and camera systems. Key driver controls and user interactions are also covered, including steering, lighting, keys, navigation, and charging operations, ensuring technicians can confidently support customer queries and workshop tasks.
The course progresses into special operating modes, diagnostics, and customisation features, including security functions, touchscreen operation, and car wash mode. Essential maintenance and service considerations are addressed, covering wheels and tyres, towing and recovery, interior settings, and driver customisation, alongside scheduled maintenance requirements, safety alerts, and technician best practices.
An overview of Tesla Service Mode is included, introducing access procedures and key information areas such as driver assistance diagnostics, infotainment and connectivity, ECU and firmware updates, high-voltage systems, HVIL, battery and charging systems, thermals and HVAC, chassis and brakes, lighting, SRS, seats, windows, and low-voltage power distribution.
Ideal for technicians and workshop personnel working with or transitioning into Tesla vehicle servicing, this course provides a practical and safety-focused overview aligned with modern EV workshop requirements.
On completion, you will receive a certificate of attendance which can be used towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
